Within each of us is a miraculous inner ecosystem. Most of us are ignorant of its existence at all, yet it is essential to our health, immunity and longevity.
Most people are still not familiar with the connection between our gut and our brain.
Or gut is our second brain, our enteric nervous system, and it reads the code of the food you eat like the scanner at the supermarket counter.
Every piece of food we consume comes into contact with our cell surfaces, which are loaded with receptors that identify it as positive, neutral or negative.
Our cells recognise something as “friendly food” or an “unfriendly food”. This is called nutrigenomics.
Our genes respond positively to organic, natural foods and this positively affects our mood, brain function and how we think.
Poorly quality, toxic, malnourished, chemically altered food has the opposite effect.
So food is far more than just how many calories it contains.
Food has the ability to change the person you are each day.
And that’s just concentrating on food and it’s importance to how we feel, act and perform.
I won’t go into too much detail, but other things that affect the person present to the world each day are:
– the amount of sunlight exposure you get, – the amount of fresh air you consume,
– the amount and type of movement perform,
– the amount and quality of the water you consume,
– the time you spend contemplating life,
– the time you spend doing things you enjoy,
– the amount of time you spend around people you love
– the amount of time you put into doing something purposeful to your life and legacy
These are all key factors in creating and maintain health.
So remember …
You’re a rainforest, and to make sure you grow, develop and thrive, you need to give yourself the right fuel in terms of your daily diet and lifestyle habits.
