You’re a rainforest, and to make sure you grow, develop and thrive, you need to give yourself the right fuel in terms of your daily diet and lifestyle habits.
To do that you must nourish your inner ecosystem which it is essential to our health, immunity and longevity.
Every piece of food we consume comes into contact with our cell surfaces, which are loaded with receptors that identify it as positive, neutral or negative.
Our cells recognise something as a “friendly food” or an “unfriendly food”. This is called nutrigenomics.
Our genes respond positively to organic, natural foods, and this positively affects our mood, brain function and how we think.
Poorly quality, toxic, malnourished, chemically altered food has the opposite effect.
So food is far more than just how many calories it contains.
Food has the ability to change the person you are each day.
There are many other factors that influence how we feel, act, and perform too.
These other elements that affect the person we present to the world each day are:
– the amount of sunlight exposure we get,
– the amount of fresh air we consume,
– the amount, and type of movement we perform,
– the amount, and quality of the water we drink,
– the time we spend contemplating life,
– the time we spend doing things we enjoy,
– the amount of time we spend around people we love
– the amount of time we put into doing something purposeful to our life and legacy
These are all key ingredients in creating and maintaining a healthy inner ecosystem, that will allow friendly bacteria to flourish, and beautiful rainforest to grow.
So tell me … how many of these components are you prioritising in your life?
