Lately, I’ve been hearing and seeing more and more nutritionist talk about how they have started using diagnostic nutritional tests with all their clients from their first consultations and how every nutritionist should be doing this, and that if you are not then you are behind the curve and are selling your clients short.
In my opinion, this is not only a naïve stance but a dangerous way to practice. It can lead to you looking for solutions to problems that were not the underlying cause, to begin with. In essence putting out lots of little fires on the surface while the main one is still roaring away underground.
Any nutritionist or holistic health coach worth their salt knows that there are many factors to consider before sending a client off for expensive tests. And once these factors are highlighted and addressed the client usually starts the feel better and their symptoms disappear. This then makes it a completely illogical move to test people without making the necessary changes to begin with.

I shot a quick video for you below where I explain my stance at a deeper level.
