One of the most important things any coach, teacher or person or who works with others can do, in my opinion, is share the story of their struggle.

The reason it’s so important is that often when people come into your world they are seeing you for the first time as what they assume is the finished article, and this can lead them to assume that you’ve never had dark days, bad times or experienced the pain that they are going through.

This is why showing people your scars is so valuable. It lets people know you are human too and that you understand their pain, both physical and emotional because you’ve lived through your own version.

This, in turn, gives them hope that they too can turn their situation around and they can start to live life on their terms again.

That little bit of hope, in what often has been years of despair and pain, is all they need to start to see a different outlook for themselves.

This outlook is made even more powerful once this vision is matched with a proven plan of action.

So never be afraid to share your story with people because it could change someone’s life, and that is more valuable than you’ll ever know.
