When you’re selecting your foods to eat, if you want to be healthy, it’s imperative that you stay clear of enzymatically dead, refined and processed foods as such as possible.
You will be able to tell which foods these are by how long they are able to stay on the shelf without going off.
For example, “foods”, such as cereal can last years on the shelf without beginning to rot – that’s a clear sign to stay well away from them.
These foods are not only enzymatically dead – which means they are toxic to your system – but they are often loaded with chemicals, E numbers and artificial flavours & sweeteners.
In fact, there are now well over 10,000 chemicals of various types added to the public food supply by manufacturers and sadly, a huge percentage of them have negative effects on our body and mind.
A big factor that leads to the consumption of so much garbage is the concept that we can “save money on food.” But can we?
When you consider both the short and long-term costs of eating cheap food (most of which isn’t really “food” at all), cheap foods are very poor investments.
And rather than concentrating on the quantity of food you eat, I’d invite you to instead start looking at the quality of the foods you consume.
When looking at the ingredients of any food you’re about to purchase, one tip I use with my clients is to, “keep it six year old simple”, meaning if a six year old can’t pronounce it, you shouldn’t be eating it.
Another tip is just to eat single ingredient foods … for example, steak is steak, eggs are eggs, and spinach is spinach.
By sticking to these simple guidelines you’ll go a long way to creating and maintaining a healthy body.
