Instead of blaming your poor lifestyle choices on the sun, it’s time we went back to to utilising the sun for the miraculous health promoting entity that it is.
Sunlight is a miracle, and a forgotten health cure.
It is the source of all life on Earth and one of the most powerful ways to improve your mood, health, and attractiveness.
Our modern society is the only one in history that has feared the sun as much as we do and it shows.
If we want to restore health & humanity, we need to restore our relationship with the sun.
Throughout history, humans have prized the sun for the natural miracle that it is.
Ancient Greek Physicians often prescribed solar therapy, and ancient Egyptians built the city of Heliopolis to worship it.
Up until the 1930s, many clinics even used the sun to heal a number of diseases.
Dr Rollier, one of the most popular practitioners, had a clinic in the Swiss alps where he found that the sun helped clear everything from tuberculosis to eczema to acne to arthritis.
I believe that we need an RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) for sunlight and to bring back this ancient remedy.
The sunlight is so much more than vitamin D and cannot be replaced with a pill.
“What about skin cancer?” I hear you say.
A 1980 study found that the incidence of malignant melanoma (skin cancer) was considerably higher in office workers who were regularly exposed to artificial light compared to people who work outdoors in the sun.
In fact, skin cancer rates have skyrocketed since 1900, yet most people work indoors.
In 1900, 75% of people worked outdoors.
In 1970, <10% of people worked outdoors.
Today, that number is even smaller.
Yes, there are other factors at play with the rise in skin cancer, such as the high number of chemicals people put on their skin each day, and the daily consumption of seed and vegetable oils, but the lack of light is a very big issue.
And, contrary to popular belief, the amount of disease and death caused by avoiding sunlight is orders of magnitude greater than the amount of melanoma caused by sunlight.
In fact, studies show that the countries with the highest forms of skin cancer, are those that have the least exposure to the sun.
The uncomfortable truth for the medical industry is that sun does not cause cancer. In fact, sun exposure has been shown to ward off 16 different types cancer.
(Obviously, you shouldn’t get burnt… but avoiding the sun altogether is a sure way to decrease your health markers.)
And, although you have probably been told to stay out of the midday sun, being in the sun between the hours of 10am and 2pm is the time we’ve we generate the most vitamin D.
So, instead of blaming your poor lifestyle choices on the sun, it’s time we went back to to utilising the sun for the miraculous health promoting entity that it is.
