“Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.” – Leo F. Buscaglia

Today, more than ever, it seems there are valid reasons to worry as we find ourselves in unprecedented waters where the future is uncertain for us all.

However, life is always uncertain, and it’s how we perceive that uncertainty which is the key to our mental & emotional state and therefore our overall happiness.

Some people see challenges as an exciting adventure to be overcome, whilst others see them as daunting tasks that cripple them with fear.

The difference between these people is simply their perception of what lays in front of them, as well as what has gone before.

In truth the only thing that our past does for us is provide evidence to maintain our view of ourself today.

It doesn’t dictate our future, unless we let it.

Similarly, anxiety is worrying about a future that hasn’t even happened yet.

And, it’s this worry that leads to people being in a constant state of fight, flight, or freeze, which holds that back from achieving their true desires.

Instead of going with the flow and riding the wave of life, they are constantly resisting what is, or what might be.

So, today my tasks to you is to not look back at the past and stress about what has been and gone.

Equally, I don’t want you to look too far ahead into the future and worry about how you will get there.

Simply live in the now, and take one thing at a time.

Do that and I think you may find a peace of mind that you may not have had in sometime.

Over to you.
