Earlier on today I shared an image on social media of a message that detailed the results one of our clients had achieved thinking that it would have a motivational effect but quickly came to the realisation that merely showing the picture of the outcome without the story behind her struggles and success was doing her and everybody else an injustice.
So I thought I’d rectify this.
I don’t post results to show off how good we are at helping people – by now I’d hope our reputation speaks for itself – instead I do it to inspire others that are struggling that it is possible to get the results you want even if you have been suffering for years and you think that you’ve tried everything.
It is possible.
It’s even possible if on top of your problems you have a busy job or just a busy life.
The quote above comes from one of our clients Ellie, who had suffered for years with her gut health and weight management. She had tried other health programs and nutritionist with no results, and wasn’t in a great head space when we first spoke.
She’d tried so many other things with no positive outcome that she had almost lost all of her trust in people and didn’t believe anyone would able to help her – having been there myself it is totally understandable that she felt this way.
Luckily she had been put in touch with us through a trusted recommendation, someone who we had helped who had been in a similar situation to her, so she was a little more open minded than she could have been otherwise.
After our first conversation together I knew there was so much she had yet to try, and I knew we could help her. The plans and programs she had tried before didn’t get to the root cause of her problems which is why her symptoms kept recurring and they didn’t allow her to fit things into her busy schedule, which is so important and often over looked for for someone as busy as Ellie.
Now it wasn’t all plain sailing to get to the results above because we had to change some lifestyle factors and get Ellie to realise that her health had to be her number one priority. Ellie was so busy taking care of everyone else, she had forgotten to take care of herself. This is something that is all too common amongst people in today’s busy society.
However, through trial and error – no process is the same because no human being is the same – and by slowly incorporating daily healthy and healing practices into her life we were able to turn her health around and she is now able to enjoy her day to day life without feeling ill and depressed. She has also – as you can see above – dropped 7 kgs in body weight.
The best part is, we’re no where near done. We’ve still got a long way to go and different modalities to put into practice. It just goes to show what can happen when you change your approach.
And this is my message to you…
If you are struggling with your health and body image I just want you to know that however bad it gets, there is a way out. There are things you haven’t tried yet and there are people that can help.
Never lose that belief, because without belief you have nothing but your nightmare. And if you have nothing but your nightmare that’s where you’ll stay. Instead what you need to do is move towards your dream, your dream of being healthy, your dream of what you’d look like when you eventually get there, and then put a plan in place to move you from A to B.
It can be done, trust me, I’ve seen it time and again. You just have to look at things from a different perspective, open your mind and trust the right people.
So over to you, what’s it going to be?
