I can’t believe in 2020 people are still eating egg white omelettes because they are under the impression the yolk is bad for them.
This highly debatable precaution from the conventional medical community about how to eat eggs was initiated some years ago by scientists who thought they knew nature better than nature.
Well, after much continued research it turns we don’t know better than Mother Nature, and contrary to popular belief, eggs yolks are actually healthier than egg whites.
So, if you’re having eggs for breakfast today please don’t throw away the yolk as that’s where all of the goodness is!
100% of the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K as well as carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin are in the yolk.
These healthy fats are essential to give your body energy, support cell growth, boost your immune system as well as keep your hair and skin healthy.
They also help protect your organs, they form the foundation of your cell membranes, supply energy and provide insulation to help regulate your body’s temperature which helps keep your body warm.
Fats also help your body absorb nutrients and produce important hormones, too.
So as you can see, they are pretty vital.
Add to that, that the yolks also contain 90% of the calcium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, thiamin, folate, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12.
Whereas nutritionally, the egg white is the allergenic part of the egg and for many consuming only egg whites can extremely hard to digest, leaving food undigested in the gut. That undigested food then becomes a toxin.
Egg whites have also been known to cause allergies. This happens when the body mistakes egg protein as a harmful substance.
Some common symptoms people have reported experiencing after consuming egg whites are: – swelling, wheezing, a runny nose, watery or red eyes, nausea, rashes, hives, diarrhoea, or vomiting.
In truth, nutritionally, egg white omelettes can be a burden on the body and are pretty much useless for many as well as being highly allergenic.
Therefore, if you were to throw any part of the egg away, it should be the white.
However, I recommend eating the whole egg because the fact is, when you leave the egg as Mother Nature intended it, with the protein, vitamins, minerals etc all intact, eggs are considered to be an almost perfect food.
Sure, you need to eat other foods as well, but eggs contain an impressive number of nutrients.
