If you’re on holiday and you’re aiming to keep your nutrition clean, or you’re following a program to heal yourself internally then when it comes to buying your food just do the best you can.

You may not be able to get your normal organic produce and that’s ok. Opt for real food, and if you can make your meals yourself so you know what’s going in them.

Conversely, if you’re on holiday and you’re using this time to relax it doesn’t mean you have to eat rubbish all day every day, just because of the simple fact you’re on holiday.

If you use this time wisely you can come back leaner as well as feeling and looking healthier than when you left even if you let yourself indulge in foods you wouldn’t normally eat. (For example, the chorizo that’s in this salad is something I wouldn’t generally eat, but I’m on holiday and it adds taste and texture to the dish.)

The amount of walking and swimming people usually do on holiday coupled with extra water they consume because of the heat, 7/8 hours of quality sleep, daily sun exposure and reduced stress means people often come back healthier and lighter than when they left, but when they look at the scales they don’t understand how it was possible.

So if you’re going away enjoy yourself, and know that if you aim to keep your food quality as high as you can, and you keep taking your supplements, and you don’t over indulge, the rest should take care of itself.

Stressing and worrying will only create a problem that wasn’t there in the first place.

Happy Holidays

Ryan

P.S. I’m not saying don’t let your hair down or that eating whatever you want on holiday is wrong, because if that’s what you want to do then go for it. Who am I to judge. This post is just for those people who stress about their food quality when they are away.
